EAC (Energy Attribute Certificate) is the umbrella term. REC = US, GO = EU, I-REC = international. 1 certificate = 1 MWh renewable consumed.
Recognition
GHG Protocol Scope 2 market-based accepts EAC/REC/GO if bundled to the PPA and same market.
2026 pricing
Unbundled EU GO €1–5/MWh, bundled GO PPA €0.5–2/MWh, US REC $2–8/MWh.
