From local surplus
to your data center
Voltarione connects renewable energy producers with surplus capacity to European data centers seeking green, competitive and traceable electricity.
1. Locate the surplus
Browse the interactive map: 25+ European sites (solar, wind, hydro, nuclear, geothermal) with resellable capacity in real time. Filter by type, €/MWh and availability.
2. Producer ↔ data center matching
Voltarione acts as the marketplace: we connect an operator (Iberdrola, Vattenfall, EDF…) with a data center looking for green, local and competitive energy.
3. PPA negotiation
Sign a Power Purchase Agreement (3 to 15 years). Fixed or indexed price, guarantees of origin, flexibility clauses. Voltarione facilitates the quote and due diligence.
4. Grid delivery
Electricity physically flows via TSOs (RTE in France, TenneT in Germany/NL, REE in Spain). Transmission fees are integrated into the contract.
Market context
European spot market
EPEX SPOT, Nord Pool: electricity trades day-ahead and intraday. PPAs lock in a price beyond spot volatility.
Legal framework
Energy is a regulated market. Every supply contract goes through a licensed supplier. Voltarione is not a supplier — it's a matchmaking facilitator.
Guarantees of origin
Every green MWh produced generates a traceable guarantee of origin (GO). Essential for data centers' net-zero goals (Google, AWS, Microsoft).

What is a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)?+
A PPA is a long-term bilateral contract (5–25 years) between an electricity producer and a buyer such as a data center, fixing price, volume and supply duration.
How does Voltarione match producers and data centers?+
Our engine compares the producer's hourly profile with the data center's load curve, filters by TSO zone (RTE, TenneT, Amprion, Red Eléctrica) and ranks pairs by price, additionality and proximity.
Is the electricity physically delivered or virtual?+
Both. Physical PPA when buyer and producer share a price zone, virtual PPA (financial swap) for multi-site or cross-border buyers.
How long does it take to sign a PPA on Voltarione?+
From listing to signed term-sheet: typically 3 to 6 weeks, versus 6 to 18 months via traditional broker channels.
What does Voltarione cost?+
Producer onboarding is free. Data centers pick a tier (Discovery, Pro, Enterprise). A 2% commission applies only on signed deals.
Which countries are covered?+
All EU-27 markets plus the UK, Norway and Switzerland — every grid synchronised with ENTSO-E.
